Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 75 g butter, soft
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • n. B. Vanilla flavor
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 3 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice or water

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C top/bottom heat (160°C fan-assisted oven). Beat butter in a mixing bowl until smooth. Gradually add sugar, vanilla sugar, vanilla essence, and salt, stirring until the mixture forms a thick batter. Beat in each egg for about half a minute. Mix flour with baking powder and alternate with milk in two portions, briefly stirring on medium speed. Fill a piping bag with a perforated nozzle with the batter and pipe about 12 small heaps onto the baking sheet; not too close together. Alternatively, use two teaspoons to portion them out. Bake on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Transfer the American cookies, still on the baking paper, to a wire rack and allow to cool. Do the same with the remaining batter. Sift icing sugar and mix with lemon juice or water to form a thick glaze. Cover the American cookies with glaze and allow it to set.
