Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
made from apples, peanut butter and peanuts
The quantities of ingredients depend on how many monster dentures you want to make. One apple yields two, and they shouldn’t be too large. Then halve them and place them cut-side down on a work surface. Now, using a knife, cut a wedge into the top of the apple (mouth) and remove the piece. Be careful not to cut through the apple. Then, as best you can, cut out the core at the bottom. Again, be careful not to cut through the top. Brush the bottom with a little lemon juice and place it on a paper towel. Spread peanut butter into the wedge; it shouldn’t be too thin. Carefully remove the peanuts from their shells so they stay whole. Remove the skins and then stick the “teeth” at the top and bottom into the peanut butter. Use as many as you like, and they can be crooked, too. The whole thing should then resemble dentures. Place them on a plate and serve. It’s best to do this one apple at a time. You can also use a different type of apple, but it should be a green one. This is something very popular here in the US, especially for children’s Halloween parties.
