Mozzarella Onion Rings

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • 2 slices of mozzarella
  • 2 eggs
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onion, slice it into rings, and sandwich two rings together. Fill the space between the rings with mozzarella. Beat the egg. Now coat the filled onion ring first in flour, then in the egg, and finally, sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the mozzarella onion rings for about five minutes until golden brown. Serve with sour cream or a slightly spicy, sweet and sour sauce.
