Mushroom, cheese and ham pies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 400 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 250 g medium-aged Gouda
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some milk, if necessary
  • Mustard
  • pepper
  • e.g. butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

for party, picnic or movie night

Finely dice the onion, slice the mushrooms, and dice the ham. Grate the cheese. Cut the puff pastry into squares. Sauté the onion and mushrooms in a little butter and simmer until the liquid has evaporated. Then let it cool slightly and stir in the remaining ingredients, except for the pastry and egg. Season with mustard and pepper. Spread the mixture on the prepared pastry, brush the edges with a little egg white, and fold them together to form triangles. It’s a good idea to stretch the pastry squares a little so that enough mixture fits into the pies. Prick the tops and brush with egg yolk – if necessary, stretch with a little milk. Bake at 225°C for about 25 minutes. Delicious hot or cold. If you have any leftover mixture, cut open rolls, spread the remaining mixture on the roll halves, and bake them as well. It also tastes very good.
