Mushroom pörkölt

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1,500 g mixed mushrooms,
  • 8 tbsp oil
  • 3 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder (delicatessen), heaped tbsp
  • 1 tsp black pepper, ground
  • 2 tsp thyme, dried
  • Salt
  • 6 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Gombapörkölt

Cut the cleaned mushrooms into slices or wedges. Heat the oil and sauté the chopped onions until translucent. Add the mushrooms and continue to simmer. Sprinkle with paprika, pepper, and thyme. Cook over high heat until the juices have completely evaporated. Only then add salt to taste. If you like it with eggs, crack in the eggs at the end and mix. The mushroom pörkölt without eggs can also be mixed with sour cream to create a paprika stew.
