Mushrooms with garlic sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg mushrooms, small
  • 1 bunch of spring onions, OR:
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 150 g low-fat yogurt
  • 1 tsp thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 30 g butter, soft
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ baguette(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

like at the Christmas market!

Clean and wash the mushrooms and spring onions/leeks. Slice the spring onions into rings. Leave the mushrooms whole. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Mix the crème fraîche and yogurt, stir in a little garlic, and season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the mushrooms vigorously, stirring occasionally. Add the spring onions and season with salt and pepper. Stir the garlic into the softened butter and season with salt and pepper. Halve the baguette and spread with the garlic butter. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Pour the garlic sauce over the mushrooms and season again with thyme, salt, and pepper. Serve the baguette with the garlic mushrooms.
