Instructions

for the deep fryer

Put all of the ingredients except for the last ingredient in a bowl and make a batter. Chop the peeled apples very finely and fold them into the batter at the end. Cover the bowl and leave in a warm place until the batter has doubled in size. Heat up the deep fryer. Using two teaspoons, drop the batter a spoonful at a time into the heated oil. Turn it over after a short while. When the dumplings are evenly browned, remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and let them drain on some kitchen paper. If you like, you can also sprinkle the dumplings with powdered sugar or roll them in sugar.
