Potato casserole from Naples
Cut the cooked ham and salami into small cubes of about 1 cm. Do the same with the mozzarella and other cheeses. Boil the potatoes until tender, peel them, and mash them with the butter and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste. Whisk the eggs and fold them into the mashed potatoes along with the ham, salami, mozzarella, and cheese cubes, as well as the Parmesan cheese, and mix everything thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan oven) for about 45 minutes, until the breadcrumbs are nicely browned.
