Oatmeal and cheese patties

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 250 g oat flakes, fine
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

quick, easy, cheap and delicious – even for non-vegetarians

Dice the onion and mix with the other ingredients. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Let the mixture simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Form into patties and fry gently in a pan with a little oil until browned. Tip: You can use finely chopped or whole oats, or a mixture of both. If using whole oats, let them simmer a little longer or add a little more breadcrumbs if desired.
