Winter chocolate to drink

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter milk, low-fat
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), pulp
  • n. B. sugar
  • whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Heat the milk and spices in a saucepan and let it steep for about 15 minutes (do not boil!). Remove the cinnamon stick and star anise, then add the chocolate coating to the milk and stir to melt. Add a little more sugar if desired. It tastes best served in a large mug, topped with a spoonful of whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder. Serve with homemade baked goods.
