Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 m.-large white cabbage
- 1 carrot(s)
- 200 ml mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 4 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp celery seeds
- pepper
- 1 small onion(s)
- 70 ml sweet cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
American coleslaw
Wash the cabbage, onion, and carrot. Remove the stalk from the cabbage, peel the onion and carrot. Dice the onion and grate the carrot. Cut the cabbage into thin strips, and if the strips are too long, cut them again (you can also process the cabbage to the desired size in a food processor). Combine the remaining ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Add the lettuce to the bowl and mix everything well. Let the salad rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
