Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry, frozen, thawed, 10 x 25 cm each
  • 2 tsp oil (olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp olive paste
  • 4 anchovy fillets
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C. Finely chop the capers and anchovy fillets and mix with the olive paste, chopped parsley, and oil. Place one sheet of puff pastry on a work surface and spread with half of the mixture. Then cut into 1 cm x 25 cm strips. Repeat with the second sheet and the remaining mixture. Hold the strips at the ends and twist them four times. Place a quarter of the strips on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 5 minutes until golden brown, turning once halfway through. Repeat with the remaining strips. The olive sticks can be served hot or cold.
