Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 slices of toast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 250 g bacon cubes, streaky or bacon
  • ½ bell pepper(s), red and green
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 6 eggs
  • 200 ml cream or cream substitute
  • 200 g Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 150 g mozzarella, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Chive rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the toast slices into cubes, toast them in olive oil, and transfer them to a mixing bowl. Toast the bacon bits and add them to the bread. Dice the bell pepper halves and the onion and add them raw. Whisk the eggs with the cream and stir in the cheddar cheese, along with some pepper and salt. Add to the mixing bowl and mix well. Then pour everything into a springform pan, sprinkle with the mozzarella and chives, and bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
