French toast casserole layered with sausage and vegetables

You can prepare this recipe in a large pan, like an omelet, or in a large casserole dish. Crack the eggs and whisk them well with the milk, salt, pepper, and perhaps a few herbs. Pour the mixture into the casserole dish and add the slices of bread. Spread the ham or other sausage in the dish and top with vegetables, if desired. I like to use peas or fresh bell peppers. Finally, sprinkle on the cheese and then place it in the oven preheated to 180°C for about 20 minutes. The oven shouldn’t be too hot, otherwise the egg will burn in the casserole dish.
