Omelette from the oven

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 200 g cooked ham, diced, alternatively boiled sausage or Leberkäse
  • 1 large red bell pepper(s), skinned, pitted, diced
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s), cleaned, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, cleaned, finely diced
  • 6 eggs
  • 100 g grated cheese of your choice
  • 1 tsp, levelled white pepper, finely ground
  • 1 tsp, crushed paprika powder, sweet
  • n. B. Salt
  • ½ bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • some fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

First prepare and chop all ingredients as described above. In a greased, non-stick pan (24 cm diameter), fry the diced onion, garlic, bell pepper, and ham, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to brown. Whisk the eggs with the chopped parsley, grated cheese, and seasonings and add to the fried mixture. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle shelf for about 15-20 minutes. By then, the egg mixture will have set and the omelet will be evenly browned. Serve with a hot, buttered baguette.
