One-pot pasta à la Caprese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small garlic clove(s)
  • ½ bunch basil
  • 500 ml water
  • 100 ml cream
  • 250g rigatoni
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 70 g mozzarella
  • 10 small tomatoes
  • 40 g Parmesan, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 22 minutes

Peel and finely dice the garlic. Wash the basil leaves, shake dry, and roughly chop. Combine both in a saucepan with the water, cream, pasta, salt, and pepper. Mix well and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer the pasta, covered, for 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally to distribute the liquid. Finely dice the mozzarella, wash and halve the tomatoes, and stir in both with the Parmesan cheese about 3 minutes before the end. Season to taste and enjoy.
