- ¼ liter milk, lukewarm
- 1 egg(s)
- ½ tsp salt
- 125 g butter, melted
- 1 kg onion(s)
- 200 g bacon, streaky
- 2 cups sour cream
- 3 eggs
- oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
for one baking tray (approx. 30 x 40 cm) or 2 round molds
Crumble the yeast into the flour and sprinkle the sugar over it. Add half the milk and let it rise for 15 minutes. Stir in the egg, salt, and the rest of the milk. Add the butter. Knead well, cover, and let it rise for at least 15 minutes. Then knead until the dough is no longer moist. For the topping, fry the onions and bacon in a pan and let it cool. Mix the sour cream, eggs, salt, and pepper with the bacon and onion mixture and spread it over the dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 40 minutes. If you’d like more topping than dough, double the topping ingredients and make an extra 1/2 baking sheet. Simply roll out the dough thinner.
