Onion pancakes

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 5 onions
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel, halve, and thinly slice the onions. Finely chop the garlic. Combine the flour with the baking powder and paprika. Stir in the egg and enough water until thickened. Stir in the onions and garlic. Pour a generous amount of oil into the pan, about 2 cm deep. Add a tablespoon (maximum 2) of the mixture to each side and fry until golden brown. Place on kitchen paper and serve warm with any sauce.
