Onion Quiche

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, ready-made round
  • 200 g ham, cooked cut into strips
  • 3 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Rinse the tart tin (with a rim, of course) in cold water; do not grease. Place the prepared puff pastry in the tin, press up the rim, and cut a slit around 4cm above the base with a knife, discarding any dough above this height. Thinly slice or grate 3-4 onions and sauté in butter until golden brown. Cut the ham into strips and sauté for 1 minute. Whisk the eggs with the cream, season, and stir in the cheese and onion-ham mixture. Spread everything on the puff pastry. Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 30 minutes. You can also spread the ham-onion mixture on the puff pastry and pour the egg-cream-egg mixture over it—each tastes slightly different.
