Onion salad with soy sauce and bonito flakes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil, dark
  • 40 ml soy sauce
  • 10 g bonito flakes
  • 2 dashes fish sauce
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Slice the onions into rings as thin as possible and then soak them in water for 30 minutes. Pour through a sieve and drain well. Arrange the rings on a plate. Make a dressing with the soy sauce, sesame oil, and fish sauce. Pour the dressing over the onions and garnish with bonito flakes. Mix well before serving. Tip: A popular side dish for steak.
