Orange-Mango Chutney

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 oranges
  • 1 red chili pepper(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 50 ml white wine vinegar
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 mango(s), ripe
  • 1 tbsp mint, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

with fried shrimp, hearty cheese or grilled poultry

Peel the oranges, removing the white pith. Dice the oranges. Wash the chili pepper, deseed it, and finely slice it. Peel and dice the onion. Heat the oil in a saucepan, sauté the diced onion and chili strips, then deglaze with vinegar. Stir in the sugar and diced orange and simmer over medium heat until almost all the liquid has evaporated. Meanwhile, peel the mango and dice it. Stir the diced mango and mint into the orange mixture and let the chutney cool.
