Orange tongues with marzipan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 100 g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 100 g marzipan
  • 1 orange(s), juice
  • 1 pack of orange flavor
  • 1 bottle of orange peel flavor
  • 260 g wheat flour
  • 1 jar orange marmalade
  • 1 pack of semi-sweet chocolate coating
  • 1 pinch(s) orange peel (organic), finely grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Utilization of egg yolk

Cream the butter and sugar until very fluffy. Add the egg yolks, one at a time, and mix in each one. Finely crush the marzipan and stir in, along with the orange juice, orange flavorings, and/or finely grated orange zest. Finally, add the flour. Using a piping bag, pipe fine, thin strips (approx. 3–5 cm long) onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 10–15 minutes. Spread the base of the biscuits with plenty of orange jam, sticking two biscuits together at a time, and let dry. Dip the ends in melted chocolate or decorate the tongues with chocolate using a fine nozzle. This is quicker and you get more of the orange flavor.
