Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 beefsteak tomatoes
  • some pepper
  • some salt
  • some olive oil
  • 150 g feta cheese, sliced ​​or grated
  • Oregano, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the beefsteak tomatoes, remove the stems, and halve them. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper on the cut surface. Sprinkle generously with oregano (the surface should be green) and place a suitable slice of feta cheese on top, or sprinkle a generous amount of grated feta cheese over the top. Finally, drizzle with olive oil and place in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 20 minutes. Tips: If desired, grill briefly on high heat at the end to achieve a nice crust. Other garden herbs and other types of cheese can be used instead of oregano.
