Oriental-style meatballs on pepper strips

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g ground beef, lean
  • 250 g sausage meat, coarse
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp harissa
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 3 m.-large bell pepper(s), colored
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

super easy and quick to prepare

Preheat oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat). Knead the ground beef and skinned sausage meat with cumin, harissa, egg, and breadcrumbs, then form into about 10 meatballs. Trim and strip the bell peppers. Place the meatballs and strips of bell pepper on a baking sheet or in a casserole dish, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake in the hot oven for about 35 minutes. Add two tablespoons of water to loosen any stuck-on bits, then mix in.
