Oven-baked fried potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1.2 kg potatoes
  • 1 some salt
  • 1 some pepper
  • 1 tbsp marjoram, dried
  • 2 tbsp thyme, dried
  • ½ tbsp sage, dried
  • 1 dl olive oil
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 large onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 50 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours

Peel the raw potatoes, dice them, and soak them in water for at least 20 minutes. Drain and then place the potatoes in a bowl with olive oil, thyme, marjoram, sage, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir well and let them stand for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (convection oven) and cook the potatoes on a baking tray lined with baking paper for 30 minutes. Turn the fried potatoes over once. Quarter the onion, slice it into rings, and scatter it over the fried potatoes. Cook for another 30 minutes. This dish goes well with all grilled dishes, as well as regular stir-fries, eggs, and aspic.
