Ovomaltine – Sheet cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g drink powder (Ovomaltine)
  • 1 ½ dl milk, lukewarm
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • 100 g chocolate (Ovomaltine chocolate), cut into small cubes
  • 200 g flour, semi-white
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 pack of chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 170°C. Line a large rectangular baking sheet with baking paper. Dissolve the Ovomaltine in the lukewarm milk. Beat the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, and salt with a hand mixer until fluffy. Stir in the Ovomaltine milk. Add the almonds and chocolate chips. Mix the flour and baking powder well into the batter. Spread the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet and bake in the lower center of the oven for about 20 minutes. Let it cool in the baking sheet. Melt the chocolate coating according to the package instructions and spread it evenly over the cake. Cut the cake into cubes. Wrapped in foil, the cake will keep in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
