Pad Thai Gai (Ben Blümel)
The perfect pad thai gai (ben blümel) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the adults:
- 1 Pc. Chicken
- 250 g Tofu
- 2 Pc. Onion red
- 3 tbsp Tamarind paste
- 2 tbsp Soybean oil
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
- 2 Pc. Spring onion rod
- 100 g Peanuts
- 1 Handful Bean sprouts
- 2 Pc. Eggs
- 1 Pc. Lemon
- 2 tbsp Shrimp
- 1 tbsp Red chilli
- Soak the pasta in water.
- Dice tofu and deep fry.
- Take the chicken apart, season with sugar and salt, flour and deep-fry. Cut the spring onions into fine rings and set aside for a moment.
- 1 Roughly chop the onion. Mix with the tamarind, oil, sugar and garlic. Toast this paste in a wok. Put some spring onions aside to decorate, add the rest of the spring onions and roast them. Add the bean sprouts, toss briefly and take everything out of the pan.
- Fry the eggs in a wok with a little oil.
- Warm the pasta in a separate pan, add soy and fish sauce. Then add everything to the scrambled eggs and continue to stir fry.
- Roast the peanuts in a saucepan.
- Mix the dried shrimp and finely chopped chilli in an extra bowl. Serve a part.
- Place the pasta at the bottom in deep plates, and put the chicken, tofu and nuts on top. Top with spring onions and finish with a little lemon juice.
