Pao De Queijo
The perfect pao de queijo recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Wheat flour
- 250 g Cornmeal
- 0,5 packet Yeast
- 0,4 l Lukewarm water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 125 g Grated cheese
- Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Mix the flours with the salt and cheese. Add the water with the yeast and knead everything for about 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- Shape the dough into balls or a loaf of bread. Dust with a little flour.
- Bake on a tray in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. The loaf of bread takes about 1 hour, the balls about half an hour.
- As a variation, olive pieces or anchovies can also be baked in the dough.
