Paprika Filled with Sauerkraut

The perfect paprika filled with sauerkraut recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Pc. Paprika
  • 500 g Sauerkraut preserve mild “Schlachtekraut”
  • 1 Pc. Whisked eggs
  • 150 g Grated cheese
  • 100 g Sour cream 10% fat
  • 40 g Diced Bacon
  1. Cut the lid off the peppers and remove the seeds, then wash the vegetables and pat dry.
  2. Mix the other ingredients (without the bacon) together well, leaving some of the cheese back.
  3. Now pour the mixture into the prepared peppers and put it in a baking dish – in which the remaining filling mixture has been placed. Finally, sprinkle with the retained cheese.
  4. Now place the mold in the oven preheated to 180 ° C. After about 30 minutes, put the lids on the peppers and put the crispy fried bacon cubes (doesn’t have to be, but tastes good) over them. Now let it brown again in the hot oven.
  5. This includes, inter alia. Rice or jacket potatoes.
