Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • olive oil
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 green bell peppers
  • 4 red bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ liter meat broth, homemade or stock cubes
  • 1 class can/n tomato(s) , (Pizza tomatoes)
  • 1 cup of natural yogurt
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat olive oil in a pan. Brown the minced meat and add the diced onions. Allow both to brown. Add the tomato paste and roast briefly. Add the pizza tomatoes to the pan and simmer for a few minutes. Finely slice the bell peppers and add them as well. Top up with the hot meat broth and simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes. Season the pan with salt, pepper, and paprika to taste. Allow to cool slightly and stir the yogurt into the simmering mixture. If the sauce is too thin, thicken with a little water and flour before adding the yogurt. Season the pepper pan to taste. It also works well with Mediterranean spices. I serve it with rice.
