Pasta with broccoli

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg broccoli, cut into florets
  • 400 g penne or orecchiette
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 red chili peppers, deseeded and chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon(s) – zest, grated
  • Parmesan, grated
  • salt and pepper

For quick, delicious cooking!

Steam the broccoli al dente. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain through a sieve. It’s best to save some of the pasta water, as this can be added to the drained pasta if it sticks together. Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the oil, butter, garlic, chili peppers, and lemon zest and fry for about 2 minutes. Then add the broccoli and mix everything briefly. Pour everything over the pasta. Season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Divide between plates and serve sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Tip: Serve with a few lemon wedges, if desired.
