Pasta with pepper and cheese sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g pasta (e.g. spirelli, linguini or spaghetti)
  • 300 g red bell pepper(s)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 80 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp processed cheese
  • 80 ml whipped cream or Cremefine
  • a few stalks of parsley
  • a few stalks of basil
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. Paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

quick, easy pasta dish

Cook the pasta until al dente. Chop the bell pepper and onion into small pieces and sauté in hot oil. Crush or finely chop the garlic and add it, then sauté everything over low heat for about 5 minutes. Whisk the sour cream, Emmental cheese, tomato paste, processed cheese, cream, salt, and pepper and add it to the vegetables. Melt the sauce over low heat, stirring gently. Add the chopped tomatoes to the sauce and season with paprika. Bring everything back to a boil briefly, then stir in the finely chopped herbs.
