Pastries: Vanilla Wafers

The perfect pastries: vanilla wafers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 70 g Butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Ground vanilla pod
  • 1 Lemon untreated
  • 1 Pr Cinammon
  • 250 g Flour
  1. I got a cinnamon waffle iron for Christmas and that now had to be inaugurated. But since I didn’t want to work with so much cinnamon anymore, I modified the recipe from the recipe booklet a little. In the original recipe, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon is used instead of vanilla.
  2. Butter, sugar and eggs are stirred together until frothy. Then gradually add the flour and stir in the spices. The dough must be firm enough to form small balls. I needed 1 tablespoon more flour because my eggs were very large.
  3. Heat up the waffle iron and grease it. Put a ball of batter on each picture and then bake. Remove the waffles and let them cool, break or cut. Re-grease the iron before baking. I got about 70 wafer biscuits from this batter.
  4. I hope you enjoy baking, my experiments continue.
