in summer also delicious with ice cream

Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar, cornflour, and vinegar. Spoon or piping bag to pour this stiff mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper, forming a cake shape. Place the egg white mixture in an oven preheated to 140°C (284°F) and bake for about 45 minutes, until it is nice and dry. Note: The ideal meringue is snow-white. Don’t panic if your first Pavlova comes out of the oven a little browned here and there. You can easily hide this minor flaw under a pile of cream. Allow the meringue to cool before generously spreading cream over the delicate pastry, then garnishing it with your chosen fresh fruit. Tip: If a few calories more or less don’t matter, you can also serve the Pavlova with your favorite ice cream.
