Pea stew with Cabanossi

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cup peas, dried
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 slice(s) bacon, streaky
  • e.g. potato(s)
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 2 Cabanossi
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper
  • Broth, granulated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes

Place the peas in a pot with the water and let stand overnight. The next day, dice the bacon and add it. Add the cleaned and finely chopped vegetables, the chopped garlic and the finely diced onions, season with salt, pepper and granulated stock and simmer over low heat until a creamy foam forms on the surface and the peas are soft. Then dice the potatoes and slice the Cabanossi and add them. If the stew gets too thick, add a little more water if necessary. Stir occasionally, as it burns very easily. Continue cooking for another 30 minutes, then season to taste and serve.
