Peach and ginger chutney

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2,500 g peach(s), finely diced
  • 500 g apples, peeled, pitted and finely diced
  • 250 g raisins
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated, cut into very thin slices
  • 500 g shallot(s), finely diced
  • 100 g ginger, peeled and finely diced
  • 500 ml vinegar (raspberry vinegar)
  • 2 pkt. gelling sugar, 1:2
  • 2 tsp, heaped cardamom, ground
  • 1 tsp, leveled clove powder
  • 2 tsp, heaped turmeric, ground
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

wonderful chutney for mild cheese such as Camembert

Bring the fruit, shallots, and ginger to a boil with the vinegar, then add the gelling sugar. Cook until the onions are translucent and the fruit begins to break down. Then add the spices and stir well. Pour the chutney into sterilized jars and either boil them down or twist them off. A wonderfully sweet and sour chutney, wonderfully fruity and mild.
