Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g wheat
  • ½ cube of yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 100 ml water
  • 150 g natural yogurt, low-fat
  • ¼ tsp caraway seeds
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • 75 g peanuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Wholemeal rolls

Finely grind the wheat. Place the flour in a bowl, make a well in the center, and crumble in the yeast. Drizzle with honey and wait until the yeast has dissolved. Mix the water with the yogurt and spices. Heat the mixture to lukewarm and pour over the yeast. Knead thoroughly for 5 minutes, until the dough bubbles. Let it rise at room temperature for 75 minutes. Meanwhile, roughly chop the nuts. Knead into the risen dough along with the salt. Divide the dough into 6 portions. Shape each portion into a roll and place on a baking sheet. Let it rise for 15 minutes. Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
