Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Mix the flour, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl. Add the egg, water, and butter and quickly knead everything into a dough. Wrap in foil and chill for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Bring the sugar, honey, butter, cinnamon, and cream to a boil in a saucepan and simmer for about 3 minutes. Stir in the nuts and peanuts. Roll out the dough on a floured surface the size of a baking tray. Grease the tray or use baking paper. Place the dough on the tray and spread the nut mixture on top. Bake in the oven on the middle rack for 20-25 minutes, then let it cool. Roughly chop the chocolate and melt it. I always do this with the oven turned off after the nut corners have been baked. Cut the pastry into strips and then into small corners. Place the chocolate in a freezer bag, cut off a corner, and decorate the nut corners with it. The corners will keep for about 4 weeks if kept cool.
