Pear, cheese and bacon salad à la Krischu

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 100 g bacon
  • 300 g feta cheese or goat’s cheese
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp mixed herbs, frozen
  • pepper
  • 2 cup(s) croutons, e.g. B. with garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Hearty at the party and at the barbecue

Peel and core the pears, and cut into cubes or slices. Peel and dice the onion. Fry the bacon, allowing the onion to brown. Meanwhile, dice the cheese and make a vinaigrette with oil, vinegar, and herbs. Combine all ingredients (except the croutons), season with pepper if desired, and let stand for about 1 hour. Serve and sprinkle with croutons. Since cheese and bacon are usually quite savory, the salad usually doesn’t need any salt. For this reason, the pears should make up by far the largest portion.
