Peas and Carrots Vegetables

The perfect peas and carrots vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Freshly picked green peas
  • 10 Carrots
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 bunch Mint fresh
  • 1 bunch Fresh dill
  • 6 Fresh shallots
  • 125 g Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 125 g Salt
  • 125 g Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  1. Peel and rinse the carrots and cut into 3 cm sticks. Rinse the mint and dill, shake dry and chop finely. Peel the shallots and cut in half lengthways.
  2. Heat a saucepan over low to medium heat. Pour in olive oil and then melt the butter in it. Steam carrot sticks in it over low to medium heat. Add shallots and sauté. Add the peas and 2 tablespoons of water and steam everything until the carrots and peas are firm to the bite. Stir in mint, dill and crème fraîche and season with 1 to 2 pinches of salt and a little lemon juice.
