How to easily peel potatoes with a trick

It takes quite a long time to peel a potato, especially when it has to be done quickly. It’s often tedious with a knife and it’s easier with a potato peeler, but it takes a comparatively long time. So if you are in a hurry, you should use the following tip:

  1. Score the potato with a knife all the way around. You should use the short side, as the trick is easier to do then.
  2. Then cook the potatoes as usual, except this time leave the skin on. So proceed as if you were cooking jacket potatoes.
  3. Then remove the pot from the heat and rinse the potatoes under cold water. Then peel the potatoes by hand. This is particularly easy because you have previously cut the potato skin with a knife.
