Carrot fries are a delicious low-carb alternative to the popular potato sticks. The preparation of the crispy carrot fries is easy.
Carrot fries: You need that
Our quantities result in four servings of crispy and healthy carrot fries.
- You need six carrots for this.
- The fries get crispy with six tablespoons of olive oil.
- Also, have four tablespoons of liquid honey ready.
- A little salt, pepper, and thyme provide the necessary seasoning.
Preparing the low-carb fries
- Most of the work is prepping the carrots. Wash and peel the vegetables and halve the carrots lengthways.
- Now cut the fries from these carrot halves to the desired thickness and size.
- Mix the oil with the honey and mix in the carrot sticks. So that the carrot fries are really tasty, leave the carrot sticks in the honey mixture for about 15 minutes.
- Then spread the carrots on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake them in an oven preheated to 175 degrees for about half an hour.
- Before serving, sprinkle the fries with salt, pepper, and thyme. You can also use other spices of your taste.
