Penne with broccoli in tomato cream sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g penne
  • 750 g broccoli (frozen)
  • 1 package of tomatoes, pureed
  • 100 ml cream, fresh
  • 1 large onion(s), finely diced
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • some salt
  • some black pepper, freshly ground
  • some cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Lightly brown the diced onion in the olive oil. Add the broccoli (split individual florets first if necessary) and sauté briefly (about 2 minutes). Add the passata, spices, and cream and simmer for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the penne until al dente and immediately add it to the sauce. Stir well and serve on plates. A truly quick recipe for a budget (max. €2.50 for 4-5 people) and truly delicious.
