refreshing birthday cake

Whisk the eggs well with the vanilla sugar, sugar, flour, and baking powder. Pour the batter into a springform pan. Bake in an oven preheated to 160°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes on the middle rack. Then let the cake cool completely and then cut it in half with a thin string. Collect the pineapple juice and bring to a boil with the glaze. Add the pineapple pieces (except for 12 for decoration) and let the mixture cool. Whip the cream with the cream stiffener until stiff, then mix 2/3 of it with the pineapple mixture. Spread this on the bottom cake layer and cover with the top layer. Spread the remaining cream on top and around the outside of the cake. Mark 12 cake slices with cream dots and decorate with the 12 pineapple pieces. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
