Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
casserole-like dish with pasta and any pizza topping
Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. It should be al dente (firm to the bite), as it will simmer a little in the oven with the sauce. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Finely dice the onion and sauté in olive oil until translucent. Add the finely chopped garlic and sauté as well. Remove the pan from the heat, add the diced tomatoes and cream. Add a little more tomato paste to the sauce, if desired. If the sauce is too runny, add a little more flour. If using fresh diced tomatoes, add a splash of water if desired. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, basil, and a little oregano. If using salami or ham as a topping, you’ll need a little less salt. Now mix the desired pizza ingredients into the sauce. Drain the cooked pasta and place it in a greased baking dish. Pour the sauce over it and scatter the cheese on top. Bake the pizza pasta with the lid on in the preheated oven for 15 minutes and then uncovered for another 5 minutes.
