Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 100g salami
- 2 shallots
- 125 ml olive oil
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
- 1 tsp oregano
- 10 basil leaves
- 4 eggs
- 150 g flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 125 ml water
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp pesto

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dice the salami, shallots, and garlic and place them in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix. Bake the batter in batches in the waffle iron. Tip: You could, of course, use something else instead of the salami, such as Parmesan cheese or, for a vegetarian option, tomatoes.
