Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g quark
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • some water, lukewarm
  • ½ liter of milk, approx.
  • n. B. Fruit, e.g. apples, cherries, plums

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bavarian pastry

Knead flour, quark, 1 tbsp butter, egg, salt, and 1 tbsp sugar into a smooth, not too stiff dough (I always let the bread maker do it; it’s super quick). Cut off small pieces of pasta dough and roll out into thin, hand-sized flatbreads. Pour milk into a large pot or pan, about 3 cm high, and bring to a boil. Add 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp sugar, and the fruit (chop the apples!) to the milk. Lift the flatbreads in the middle and place them in the boiling milk like caps. Bake on the stovetop with the lid on for about 20 minutes, until the milk is absorbed. Be careful, if the milk is gone, it will burn very quickly!
