Plum cake from the tray

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g baking mix, for bread
  • 1 point yeast (dry yeast)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 ½ kg plum(s)
  • lots of sugar, brown

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours

for people who don’t have much in the fridge.

Combine the baking mix with water, yeast, and vanilla sugar to make a yeast dough and let it rise for one hour. Meanwhile, wash, pit, and halve the plums, then cut each half into pointed ears (cutting the middle again). Spread the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Make sure the edges aren’t too thick! Press the plums onto the yeast dough, creating a “roof.” Finally, sprinkle thickly with brown sugar and bake at 180°C for about 35 minutes. Sprinkle with a little more brown sugar while still hot.
