Plum Chutney

The perfect plum chutney recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Plums
  • 4 Onions
  • 1 greater Apple
  • 1 size Pear
  • 300 ml Sherry vinegar
  • 300 g Raw cane sugar
  • 2 El Baharat
  1. Core and finely dice the fruit.
  2. Finely dice the onions.
  3. Bring the fruits and onions to the boil with the vinegar and sugar. Stir in the spice mixture. Simmer gently open for about 1.5 hours until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Fill into sterile jars while boiling hot. Turn the glasses upside down for about 5 minutes, then turn them over and let them cool down.
