French toast
- 4 Brioche
- 5 Eggs
- 500 ml Milk
- 150 ml Cream
- 120 g Sugar
- 1 Vanilla pods (pulp only)
- 1 pinch Salt
- 6 tbsp Butter
Berry salad
- 150 g Strawberries
- 150 g Raspberries
- 150 g Blackberries
- 150 g Blueberries
- 1 tbsp Grand Marnier
- 3 tbsp Unsalted pistachio nuts
- 3 tbsp Powdered sugar
- Mint
Instructions
- Cut the brioche into slices. In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla pulp and a pinch of salt until frothy. Dip the brioche slices in the milk and egg mixture and then layer them in a baking dish. Pour the remaining liquid over the brioche into the baking dish. Spread the butter flakes loosely over the top. Put the whole thing in the oven at 180 ° C and bake until the milk and egg mixture has thickened.
- In the meantime, chop the berries and pistachios with a kitchen knife. Then mix the berries with the Grand Marnier.
- Finally, cut the still warm Poor Knight out of the mold, place it on a plate, arrange the berry salad around it and sprinkle with the chopped pistachios. Then sieve some more powdered sugar over it and decorate with mint.
